This is a wonderful children's book about a young dog, Sid, who gets a funny feeling inside and begins to float up into the sky. Sid flies to school and is full of excitement and wonder however, none of his school mates believe him, not even his best friend or his teacher. This makes him sad. There is however, a happy ending and may bring a tear to your eye, it did me!

Reader's Reviews[]

This book is a terrific resource for both Key Stage 1 and Early Years children that is well structured, illustrated with big colourful pictures, has identifiable characters and shows many different types of emotions. It also touches on individuality, belief and family values in a very gentle way. The rhythmic rhyming text is both enjoyable and challenging and is thoroughly recommended for teachers of early years and KS1 and parents who love to read to their children.
