Description[]

Mudpuddle Farm: Six Animal Adventures is a collection of six picture books, written by Michael Morpurgo and illustrated by Shoo Rayner. The book is quite large, as it contains what were originally six books: Mossop's Last Chance, Albertine, Goose Queen, And Pigs Might Fly, Jigger's Day Off, Martians at Mudpuddle Farm and Mum's the Word. The book is actually split into three sections, reflecting the fact that that the above six are published in three volumes, each volume containing two of the originals. The three sections are Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, Pigs Might Fly! and Alien Invasion. The books are about Mudpuddle Farm and the animal's adventures on the farm.

Whether it's Mossop the old farm cat trying to catch mice for once, instead of forty winks, Albertine the goose queen getting in a flap, or Pintsize the piglet trying to fly – all the animals get involved in comic capers...not to mention Farmer Rafferty!

McDonald's ran a promotion, running from January 11—February 7, 2012, where the Mudpuddle Farm books came free with McDonald's Happy Meals.[1]

Reader's Reviews[]

1[]

First my sister (Sapphire Age 8) read it and then I read it. I think the book is better for 10 and under but still it was good (Olivia Age 13). Quite a fat book. There are quite a lot of pictures as well.
