J. M. Barrie was a Scottish author, most famous for his creation of Peter Pan, first published in Peter and Wendy. His inspiration for the book makes it even more famous. Most of the book's characters were derived from the boys of Sarah Llewelyn Davis, and he would later become their foster father after their mother's death.
