Description[]
The Penderwicks at Point Mouette is a children's novel, written by Jeanne Birdsall, and published in 2011. It is the third book in the The Penderwicks series, following The Penderwicks and The Penderwicks on Gardam Street.
With the leader of the Penderwick family on a honeymoon with his wife and stepson, and Rosalind on vacation with her friend Anna, Skye is left as the O. A. P. on a trip to their Aunt Claire's house. The whole two weeks of separation seem to be a disaster with Skye in charge. Accidents happen left and right and her sisters go through some drastic changes. However, through it all, more than one family is reunited happily and one Penderwick discovers a future in music.

Some characters make up a "fire god" to make hair sacrifices, chant, and make requests to. Jane also asks Neptune to grant a wish and she mentions magic charms. The sisters wanted to use voodoo on Jeffrey's mother, Mrs. Tifton-Dupree, and stepfather, Dexter Dupree.
