The Diary of Samuel Pepys's Clerk is a historical fiction short book, in diary form. It is part of the History Diaries series, and is written by Philip Wooderson. The book is a diary of the fictional Roger Scratch who lives in London in 1666. He is sixteen years old at the start of his diary, and he is the clerk of the real famous diarist, Samuel Pepys. The book describes fictional events, as well as real ones such as the Great Fire of London. The character's diary chronicles 1665–1666, ending with the Great Fire.

Really, really good. I enjoyed it, and I'm going to get the other books in the series. Really simple-to-read, I liked the pictures, and I thought it was great!
