The Secret in the Maple Tree series (often labeled as the Maple Tree series) is a children's book series from the Abeka (Wikipedia) Christian home school curriculum. The series is written by Matila Nordtvedt and consists of three books.
The Maple Tree series is about a girl named Hilda and her strong relationship with God. In Secret in the Maple Tree, she gets a new mother and brother after her previous mother passed away. In Song of the Brook, her family has moved to Bellingham, Washington, and are adjusting to their new lifestyle. In Message of the Mountain, the other main character, John, is struggling with the value of Christian faith.
