Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a 1978 children's book about a town where it rains food three times a day.
Summary (book)[]
A grandfather tells his grandchildren about a town whose weather is raining food.
Movie Adaptation[]
In 2009, this book was adapted into a 3D CGI-animated feature film by Sony Pictures Animation. It takes certain liberties with the book, using key scenes from the book, and inventing a storyline of an inventor named Flint Lockwood who built a food-replicating device that makes it rain food thrice a day, a young weather reporter named Sam Sparks, and a food-related disaster of epic proportions.
