Emmy used to live in the country, and the noises she now finds around her in the city are unsettling. She used to have a horse named Dancer, but she couldn't bring him into the city with her. Her parents take her to a stable in the city where she signs up for riding lessons, and she finds an American Quarter Horse named Belle. Riding lessons are difficult, though, because during the whole lesson Emmy is still unnerved by the sounds of the city. When Christmas is near and Emmy gets lost in the woods, will she finally be able to trust her horse?
